CAIRO, GA (WALB) -

Staff at the Jackie Robinson Boys and Girls Club in Cairo are working hard getting prepared for the 2017 Musicfest event.

The concert will be held next Saturday, August 26 at 7 p.m. at Cairo High School.

Otis Redding III, Ralph Roddenbery and Johnnie Marshall, will all bring their dynamic blend of rock, rhythm and blues to the Syrup City.

Organizers said it's an important event that raises money for the club and community.

"What's good for the community here is good for the boys and girls club so if there is any way we can help. They are going to grow up to be the leaders in the community here," said Austin Hobson with Hobson Chevrolet, Event Sponsor.

"Being a fundraiser, we have raised as much as $25,000+, we have events that have really helped the boys and girls club," said Cynthia Cotton Jones, President of Club Board of Directors.

Tickets are $20 each. Tickets may be purchased at these Cairo locations: Miss Myrt's, Capital City Bank, Center Drugs, Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce, and Jackie Robinson Boys & Girls Club or online.

For more info contact 229-378-3099 or visit the club's website.
