THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) - Thomas County drug agents said they are seeing an increase in meth in the area.
Drug agents said they believe it's more popular because the cost of the drug has decreased over the years, and has become more available.
Officials said meth is becoming a more common drug than cocaine.
Thomas County Drug Commander Louis Schofill said they aren't seeing bigger amounts of meth, instead, increased numbers of cases.
"It's not more amounts, or bigger amounts, most of our cases right now are meth cases because it's more readily available than other drugs," explained Schofill.
Schofill said most of the meth coming into Thomas County is from the Atlanta area.
