UPDATE: Man killed in Valdosta wreck identified

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

One person died after a single vehicle accident in Valdosta.

The Valdosta Police Department got the call around 10:06 Monday morning.

On Tuesday, Valdosta Police identified the victim as Willie Lee McKeithen, 71, a  Valdosta resident,

When officers arrived at the scene in the 200 block of Smith Avenue, he was found unresponsive in his Ford F-150 .

Firefighters with the Valdosta Fire Department removed  McKeithen from the truck and performed CPR until EMS arrived.

McKeithen was transported to South Georgia Medical Center and pronounced dead.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
