Jim Hedges, the Pelham City Manager, announced on Facebook that the fire department won a Firefighter's Assistance Grant from FEMA.
It's for over $96,000 so the department can buy new extrication equipment, a generator and other supplies.
Hedges said the equipment was needed very much.
