THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

The driver of a car that went off Dillon Road and overturned around 3:30 Thursday afternoon in Thomas County has died.

Authorities identified the driver as Spencer Depaola, 23.

Originally troopers thought he wasn't wearing a seatbelt because he was partially ejected from the vehicle, but they later determined that he was wearing a seatbelt.

Depaola was the son of a professor at Thomas University.

Troopers and sheriff's deputies investigated the single vehicle crash.
