ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspected shoplifter who is accused of stuffing more than $50 worth of alcohol down his shorts on more than one occasion.

APD said surveillance video from August 3, at Albany Package in the 2900 block of Gillionville Road shows a man stealing bottles of liquor by hiding them in his shorts.

Both were bottles of Hennessy valued at $70.

Police said that it appears the same suspect returned to the store the next day and concealed two more bottles of liquor, including Remy Martin VSOP valued at $100.

This time, store managers chased the suspect to his vehicle and one of the managers was knocked down when hit by the car as the suspect was pulling away.

If you can help identify this man you are asked to call CrimeSTOPPERS at (229) 436-TIPS and you could earn a reward.
