BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Dollar General is looking to put a store in a vacant historic building in downtown Bainbridge.
Teramore Development proposed the plan to the Historic Preservation Commission.
The company suggested relocating its store on West Street to the old Bainbridge Hardware Store on Broad Street.
The public has a chance to ask questions or voice concerns at a hearing later this month.
"Well, it's always important to hear from the public and represent their views. The development company, they'll be there representing Dollar General," said Assistant City Manager Roy Oliver.
The public hearing will be at 6 p.m. on August 22.
