TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

According to the Tifton Police Department, there is a $6,000 reward being offered for information that leads to the arrest, prosecution, and conviction of those responsible for the murder of Jesse Hall, a Waffle House employee.

Hall was shot to death in the parking lot of the Waffle House in the 700 block of West 7th Street early Saturday morning.

Police said the city of Tifton is offering $1,000 and Waffle House is offering $5,000 in reward money for information that helps police find the suspects.

This was in a statement released by the Tifton Police Department.

Mr. Hall was at work, trying to earn a living as a father of three children when he was shot and killed during what appears to be an attempted armed robbery.  There are people out there that know what happened and who did this.  We hope that some of those people will come forward with what they know.  We cannot get those children their father back, we do hope to offer answers.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the TPD Criminal Investigations Division at (229) 382-3132.

Ahead of heavy rain showers and winds projected for our area, the Georgia State Patrol said there's not as many travelers on the roads during this holiday weekend.  "So far I think this attributed to the weather and gas prices being so high, it seems that in our area of the state, traffic has been down some," said Trooper Christopher Jewell, GSP Post 40.
