Arrest made in Maple Street shooting

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A 44-year-old man told police he was riding his bike in the 1700 block of Maple Street, near Owens Avenue around 8 a.m. on when someone in a black SUV pulled up and shot him.

On Thursday, APD announced that Terance Juan Taylor had been arrested for the crime.

Taylor is charged with Aggravated Assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and is in the Dougherty County jail.

The victim was taken to Phoebe Putney Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was listed as in good condition and improving, Thursday afternoon.
