On Wednesday, August 9th, the Alma Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit stopped a vehicle on West 12th Street for an equipment violation.
An officer saw that a taillight on Debra Lynn Hyers' car was not working, so he pulled her over.
Officers discovered that Hyers, 50, of Alma, had more than just a taillight problem.
She was also driving on a suspended license, and officers found drugs in the car.
She was arrested on two counts of possession of scheduled controlled substances, and a felony marijuana charge.
