Valdosta State students move in Thursday

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta State University students will be returning to campus Thursday, with thousands of them moving into the dorms.

The graduates have moved on, and Thursday a new class will be arriving at Valdosta State University for Move in Day.  

An estimated 2,800 students are expected to live in one of the eight Valdosta State residence halls.

Move in Day is scheduled by the hour. From 9 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon, 300 to 350 students are scheduled to move into their dorm every hour.

More than 700 volunteers have registered to help move them in. 

Classes for the fall semester will start Monday, August 14th.
