ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Commodore Conyers College and Career Academy, also known as the 4C Academy, said they earned an "A" grade for their first week of school.
Educators met for the first time Wednesday evening since the school opened last Tuesday.
Principal Angie Gardner said board members discussed a strategic planning process to support the academy, and ways to get faith based groups and other student organizations moving forward.
"We've been planning this for a year and for it to come to fruition and the expectations that we set," Gardner explained, "I'm actually overwhelmed that we met them and in some cases exceeded them."
The school's next Board meeting will be September 13.
