ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Knights are in two-a-days mode with two weeks of practice already under their belts.
Allen Lowe doesn't know what to expect just yet this fall, but he knows who he can rely on to make plays.
At quarterback the junior Jack Kimbrel returns after leading Deerfield to an 8-win season.
Behind him is the senior workhorse Garrett Jones at running back.
Both eclipsed 1,000 yards last year.
Bringing them back as vets has Lowe excited about opening up the playbook.
"When you've got good skill guys and guys who are used to playing, hopefully we're going to be able to do more offensively than we did last year," said Lowe. "We had a young skill set last year so it limited us on what we could do, so I'm hoping we can do a little bit more and spread the ball around a little better."
DWS has made 10 straight trips to the final four.
The Knights open the 2017 campaign on the road.
Their first game is August 11th at Trinity Christian in Deltona, Florida.
