TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - Going once, going twice, sold!
Tifton hosted a surplus auction on Saturday.
The auctioneer announced items like cars and pallets for sale.
Many people bid and won different items that have been stored or collected over the past 10 years.
The Maintenance Warehouse Complex welcomed more than a hundred people to participate in all the action.
City Manager, Pete Pyrzenski organized the auction.
"This is something that we need to do just to get rid of some old material. But it also allows individuals to come and bid on items that maybe they could use," Pyrzenski said.
Pyrzenski said the auction offers the city a chance to make money for Tifton's budget.
