A South Georgia business owner wants to bring the community together through laughter.

Yaz Johnson of Yaz Productions partnered with United Capital Entertainment for a night of Albany Christian Comedy Relief.

United Capital Entertainment was the organization behind the Mother's Day concert featuring Shirley Caesar and Vicki Winans.

Vicki Winans will be the headliner for the comedy and gospel show.

With many homeowners still rebuilding from the storms in January and the recent violence, Johnson wants to give people a reason to come together and have a good time.

"People are angry. People are upset. People are stressed, depressed so what better way to help soothe that through some good old Christian laughter," said Johnson.

Albany Christian Comedy Relief will be held at Albany Civic Center on August 6th.

Tickets are $37 for general admission, and $42 for VIP tickets.

If a church group want to buy 50 or more tickets, then those are discounted to $27. And if a church group wants to use the tickets for a fundraiser, $10 of each ticket will go back to the church.
