ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany pups helped their owners create a special memory Sunday at The Clay Spot.

The shop hosted "Dog Day" where dogs got their paws painted and printed onto a Christmas ornament, tile or plate.

Dogs were also up for adoption, and anyone who adopted a new pet got a free tile with their new pup's print.

Owner Stacie Porter Brown said the event was all about the animals.

"We like to have a community service component with it, so this year we are asking the customers to bring donations for the Sally Wetherbee Adoption Center," she said. "If they brought a donation, they also got a 10 percent discount."

It was the second "Dog Day" event, and organizers hope to host it again next year.
