ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An emotional night for a Moultrie family after a Florida man who was charged with causing a crash that killed three of their loved ones was arrested.

The family is still in disbelief after getting a call they worried they would never get.

"Mommy I love you," said Lidia Luna.

Those were the last words Lidia's daughter said to her.

She flipped through a photo album she carries in her purse daily of the accident that took the life of her daughter, her granddaughter and future son-in-law.

"He go to jail for real that's when I can believe it," said Lidia.

After two years, she got a call from the investigator that James Geoffrey Dameron, 26, was arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop in Palm Beach County.

Dameron had been on the run since September 2015 when troopers say his Mercedes hit a 2001 Nissan on a Florida turnpike.

"Pain in my whole family, here, Mexico, Houston," remarked Lidia.

Thomas Garza, Lillian Luna, and their daughter Brianna were killed in the wreck.

This was the second time Lidia experienced this pain after losing her son a few years back.

Her daughter Elataly said the call made her re-live that devastating day of losing her sister, niece and future brother-in-law.

"I didn't know what to feel, I didn't know what, it was just so many emotions," explained Elataly.

Two years later, she and her family didn't think justice would ever be found.

"A lot of moments where we just thought it was something that was going to be forgotten," said Elataly.

The family has a memorial throughout the house to remember them.

But with Dameron's arrest comes a sense of closure. For Lidia, her closure won't come until he's sentenced.

As she patted on a towel soaked with her tears, she prayed others don't have to experience this pain.

"I don't want another mother or another family feel like, feel this pain," remarked Lidia.

The family plans to have a balloon release on Brianna's birthday on August 27th, this year she would've turned three. And her mother Lillian would've been 21.

Dameron faces multiple charges, including vehicular homicide.
