ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Sunday, July 16, is National Ice Cream Day and some folks are celebrating eating frozen yogurt.
Fro-yo has less fat than regular ice cream, but still all the flavor of summer's sweet treat.
Families ventured to Freeze Frozen Yogurt to concoct their own flavorful creations.
Rachel Lairsey lives in Lee County with her husband and four-year-old son, Jackson, but comes to Freeze fro-yo off North Westover Blvd. to support local businesses.
She chose cake batter fro-yo with caramel and sprinkles on top.
"Ice cream is one of my favorite summer treats. I could eat it every day. So when we have an opportunity to come out as a family, we definitely come to Freeze because we enjoy it here," Lairsey said.
Lairsey said she and her family came specifically to Freeze to celebrate National Ice Cream Day.
