ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Cristian Azcona, from Florida, won Albany Strikers' first-ever bowling tournament on Sunday.

Sunday was the final day for the Albany Strikers bowling tournament.

Before the first round with only eight competitors on Sunday, the Lake Wales, FL bowler was ranked in fifth.

Thirty-six competitors came from all around the east coast to bowl for the Strikers first ever PBA (Professional Bowlers Association) competition. Just four competitors are from Albany.

After a practice round on Friday, the tournament started Saturday.

Travis Eaddy manages the Strikers' Pro Shop and has been bowling for half his life. He began when he was 12 years old.

"This tournament is an honor. It's been a dream of mine to meet some professionals and I finally get a chance to meet some this weekend," Eaddy said.

He said his favorite part of the competition is seeing all the strikes.

"Bowling is a very fun sport," Eaddy said, "You have to be in good physical condition to do it, physically and mentally."

Eaddy said there will be more tournaments at Albany Strikers to come.
