ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A South Georgia non-profit celebrated 60 years of service in our community.
Easterseals aims to help people of all ages with different disabilities achieve their full potential.
Saturday night, the nonprofit hosted "Founders and Friends" to say thanks to board members, past presidents, and donors.
Beth English, Executive Director, said 75 people attended to celebrate the progress made by the organization.
"This is just a very special evening," said English. "We've pulled out all of our old scrapbooks, from the 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s. There's wonderful old clippings of people who've been involved in supporting Easter Seals over these 60 years."
Easterseals Southern Georgia served 5,000 people in 2016.
