Americus Police search for suspect after homicide Saturday

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

The Americus Police Department and GBI are searching for a suspect after a shooting killed one man and hurt another.

It happened in the 500 block of Bell Street around 5:40 p.m. Saturday, July 15.

Police say Bradley Jamal Green, 24, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Rodney Greene, 23, was treated and released from the hospital.

The suspect is Kentavous Cortez Wilkerson, 22, of Americus.

He is 5'11'', 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police say he was last seen leaving the neighborhood in a beige SUV with an unknown tag number.

Wilkerson is considered armed and dangerous.
