ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man is behind bars after drug agents recovered thousands of dollars worth of drugs from a duplex apartment complex Friday afternoon.

Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit arrested Christopher Thornton, 39, during a drug raid around 4:15 p.m.

Agents recovered nearly $3,000 worth of marijuana and $1,800 worth of cocaine.

They also found the dangerous drug Viagra and a weighing scale.

According to ADDU, they received numerous tips over the past few weeks of drug activity at Park Place Apartments.

"Here has been an ongoing probably over three weeks, we've been on to this particular location and this particular target," said ADDU Commander Major Prurince Dice.

Thornton is facing two counts of possession with intent to distribute, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a drug related object.
