ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Dougherty Drug Unit agents and Albany police are searching for a man who led them on a brief chase from Dawson Road to Slappey Boulevard.

According to Albany Dougherty Drug Unit officials, they believe Randy King, 46, took off after police stopped a car in the 2400 block of Gillionville Road for a traffic violation.

ADDU officials said King refused to get out of the vehicle after being stopped and then asked for a supervisor.

Then King took off and headed toward Nottingham Way.

Police continued to follow him down Stuart Avenue towards Slappey Boulevard, and then back west again.

Police found the vehicle at Little John Lane and Doncaster Drive.

Officials are still searching for King and believe he is on foot.

ADDU said that King could be facing charges for fleeing and attempting to elude, failure to maintain lane and other traffic charges,  pending further investigation.
