Traffic to be impacted by Crisp/Worth house move

CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

A house that is being moved from Cordele, through Sylvester, to rural Worth County, will disrupt some highway traffic Friday.

Taylor House Moving Inc. of Fitzgerald will move a house from Jamestown Road near Cordele at 9:00 a.m.

Depending on traffic, they expect to reach their destination by 4:00 p.m.

This 27-foot wide load will take up the whole road, and will be escorted by law enforcement. The house is 16 feet high and 85 feet long.

The load route is as follows:

From rural Crisp County, down Jamestown Road South, to Antioch Road West, onto State Route 300, then heading South, to State Route 313 heading Southeast into Sylvester, then on Lundy Road East, State Route 33 South through Sylvester, on Pine Street West to State Route 112, and then Southwest, ending at York Road, just past Gordy in Worth County.
