TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Before putting the pedal to the metal, some students are headed to class to learn about driving safety.
Tifton's Leroy Rogers Senior Center hosted a driver safety program for people of all ages.
The all-day class offered road safety advice, like always using turn signals and ways to practice reaction time.
Course Instructor Suren Pandey demonstrated ways to practice improving reaction to dangerous situations with neck and foot exercises.
Tifton resident Nikki Rains said that it helped her learn how to be a safer driver.
"I think it's great. I think everybody should take it because basically, safety is the main thing we need to know about especially when there's so much road rage going on," explained Rains.
The class costs $20.
The next driver safety class will be at Phoebe Hospital in Albany on July 15.
