Rosaura Perez, the 13-year-old girl who left her Crisp Country home Sunday night or early Monday, July 10, was found safe in Gwinnett County.
She was reunited with her family Tuesday.
Crisp County Investigators, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Homeland Security and the Gwinnett County Drug Task Force worked to find her, and did so at an apartment complex in Gwinnett Co..
Perez was taken into protective custody, and Sanchez Romero, 21, was arrested and is facing several charges in Gwinnett County, including giving false information to law enforcement officers.
He is being held in the Gwinnett County jail without bond and is facing charges in Crisp County.
The Immigration and Naturalization Service has also placed a hold on Romero.
The investigation in Crisp County is ongoing, according to Sheriff Billy Hancock.
