Third annual Vet Fest lasts more than 12 hours

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

If you're looking for something fun to do Saturday night, you're in luck.

Vet Fest has been happening since 10:30 Saturday morning. 

This third annual event celebrates veterans by raising funds for scholarships for kids and providing financial assistance to vets and their spouses.

The Veterans' of Foreign Wars Post 2785 in Albany partnered with Komatosa records.

There's water slides for kids and vendors. 

Commander of Bar Allen Post 2785 for the VFW Arthur Kay Williams is looking to get more than a thousand Albany supporters help.

"This is our community family effort to bring them out. To bring the community and to have them being a part of our resource," said Williams.

The free event will last until midnight Saturday night and is located at the VFW off Philema Road.
