The 8th Avenue all-stars will represent as Team Georgia in the Dizzy Dean Little League World Series.
The tournament starts July 22nd out in Southaven, Mississippi.
That gives them exactly 2 more weeks of practicing and fund raising,
In mid-June the team earned a bid by placing second place in the state tournament.
Now the roster of 9 from Albany is looking to raise 10 thousand dollars to fund the trip.
the team has held fish frys, lobbied to businesses and worked the streets for donations.
Team Georgia is now asking the community to help support the kids so they can keep the band together.
"One of our players quit because he couldn't have the funding to make it," said team manager Leonard Williams. "We're trying to get the fund raising together trying to get him to come and go with us too. We don't want to leave nobody behind."
This is this team's first trip to the little league world series in four years.
They're still planning fundraisers and accepting money.
