MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Colquitt County leaders said it's an exciting time as the county is experiencing an economic boost.
That boost coming from a variety of businesses that are now hiring hundreds of people.
A ribbon cutting was held Thursday at one of those businesses, The Sportsman Feed and Supply.
The company recently relocated to First Street Northwest where they will now have a bigger building and create a few more jobs.
County leaders said new businesses are also being built along the bypass.
"A lot of growth in Colquitt County and businesses means growth and jobs..so we are very excited about what we are seeing in our community right now." said Tommie Beth Willis, Moultrie - Colquitt County Chamber President
The shopping center where the new Publix is located in Colquitt County has added 200 new jobs to the area, with businesses like a Hibachi and Surcheros Fresh Grill opening their doors.
