ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A new Pelham-based business is taking this 4th of July weekend to give back to South Georgia.

Wild Creek Distillery hosted a party at Savoy Bistro and Lounge in Albany Saturday night.

It was a chance for the owners to introduce their moonshine to new customers.

However, owners Gregg West and Lee Stewart said they decided to give the night a bigger meaning.

They said Saturday they plan to donate the money raised at the event to local law enforcement agencies and to the Lily Pad Center.

"As we started doing this, you know, God has really blessed us," said West. "Upon God blessing us, we realized that this is way bigger than us."

The distillery's moonshine will hit the stores this month.
