ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The mother of a car crash victim is keeping her son's name alive by helping out those in need.
More than 100 people showed up to support the #MALIK clothing drive.
Laila's Lil Community Angels for Malik partnered with the Atlanta Veterans Empowerment Organization and Kent Nance of State Farm to host the clothing drive.
Laila Jackson began her organization after her son, Malik Jordan, died in a car wreck in January.
She says her goal with the drive is to help storm survivors.
"This brings me joy. To see us give back to the community in need. Today was a great turnout," Jackson said.
Jackson isn't sure when her next event will be, but plans to hold more clothing drives in memory of Malik.
