Albany Police said a 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital late Tuesday night after being shot in the abdomen.
Police were called to the 600 block of Tulsa Lane when dispatch told them the victim was getting transferred to Phoebe Main.
The victim, Kareem Williams, told police he was walking near June Bug's on South Madison Street when he heard gun shots and noticed he was shot.
Williams told police he tried to stop cars for help until someone stopped for him.
The investigation remains open, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
