Democratic delegate Andrew Niquette from South Georgia said he thinks the Democratic party needs to stop bringing in people from outside the district or state to run campaigns.

Meanwhile, Republican State Rep. Ed Rynders said he believes the Republican win shows that an anti-President Trump campaign might not always lead to a win on the Democratic side.

"The GOP stated that Democrats only gained a moral victory," said Niquette. "Now, it's time for us to accept that moral victories simply are not enough."

"You've got to stand for more than just be, 'I'm against Trump,'" said Rep. Rynders. "Clearly, you've got to have a message and that's what cost the democrats nationally."
