Terrell Academy's Javen Wimberly was the top scoring female athlete.
The sophomore won state titles in both the 100 meter dash and the triple jump.
She also claimed the silver in the long jump in her first appearance in the state championships.
Wimberly talked about her mindset in her final event when she set a personal best in the 100.
"I was very nervous, but I told myself just run," said Wimberly. "Don't think about nothing, because if I think about it I'll just tense up. I said just go."
She plans to help the Lady Eagles compete for a team state title in her next two years of eligibility.
