GRADY COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A school bus crash outside Cairo Friday night sent 32 Decatur County middle school students to the Grady General Hospital in Cairo.

The crash happened on Highway 84 just outside Cairo Friday night, with the bus colliding with a passenger car.

Georgia State Patrol troopers say there was one injury reported by the investigating trooper at the crash scene, but it's not known if it was one of the person's on the Decatur County School bus.

Decatur County School Police Chief Maurice Gaines says the bus was carrying 32 Decatur County middle school choral members, who were returning from a chorus event in Grady County.

Chief Gaines said first reports are that none of the students was seriously injured, but all were taken to the Grady General Hospital for checkups.

Georgia State Patrol officials say troopers are still investigating the crash.
