7 arrested, 1 still wanted after two year Coffee Co. drug investigation

COFFEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Seven people are in custody, and police are looking for one man after a two year drug trafficking investigation in Coffee County.

According to the sheriff's department, several agencies worked together and arrested six people starting Wednesday morning.

  • Donzel Fussell of Broxton, 31
  • Cleveland Tanksley of Douglas, 51
  • Samuel Scott Cade of Douglas, 37
  • Antwan Hunt of Broxton, 37
  • Craig Moses James of Douglas, 46
  • Robert Lee Brockington of Douglas, 51

The seventh person, Rodriguez Sedon Carter, 45, was arrested later in the day in Atlanta.

All suspects had a first appearance in Waycross Thursday morning, and everyone but Tanksley was denied bond.

Authorities are still searching for one person, Kevin Butler, 32. He is a black male, approximately 5'07", 280 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair.

Police say Butler is known to move between the Douglas and Broxton areas.

The suspects remain in the custody of federal officials, and all have been charged with multiple federal crimes including narcotics trafficking and weapons charges.

Anyone with information about Butler's whereabouts is urged to contact authorities.
