Police are working to get stolen guns off the street.
Earlier this week the Thomasville Police Department's Dive team searched a nearby pond for the guns.
Thomasville Police say they arrested Stephone Thomas for several car break ins around the city.
They also say Thomas stole a pickup truck as well.
Through the investigation they learned that guns stolen during these break-ins were thrown in a nearby pond.
Thomas is being charged with two counts of larceny from vehicle, two counts of larceny of a weapon, one count of burglary, and one count of stolen vehicle.
A previous version of this story stated that those stolen guns had been recovered, however officials are still searching for those weapons.
