CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

A nonprofit in Crisp County is working to clean out people's closets and help those less fortunate at the same time.

'Keep Crisp Beautiful' is hosting a clothing drive this week.

Anyone can donate new or used clothes until Saturday, April 22, at the drive-thru behind the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce located on South 2nd St.

Organizer Katherine Harrell said it's part of 'Keep America Beautiful,' and it's an easy way to de-clutter your closet.

"There's people that really need these items that we're taking for granted, for those people who have them sitting in their closet," said Harrell. "It's taking up space in your closet, so it's really good to give it to somebody else who needs it and couldn't afford it otherwise."

The clothes donated will go to the Crisp County Habitat for Humanity and Hand of Hope Ministries in Cordele.
