Thomas Co. crews respond to house fire Tuesday afternoon

Thomas County fire crews responded to a house fire off Highway 319 on Sanford Road Tuesday afternoon.

The call came into dispatch at 1:13 p.m.

According to fire officials, the house is vacant.

Neighbors in the community said the house has a for sale sign and the people who lived there moved out a few weeks ago.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
