ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Six south Georgia high school students are moving on to several universities thanks to Albany Tech's Move on When Ready.

Monday, students signed to move on to complete their bachelor's degrees.

The Move on When Ready program gives 9th through 12th grade students in Georgia a chance to earn college credit while they are in high school.

Westover High School student Tonyari Scott was one of the six students recognized.

She has been accepted to Georgia Tech this fall.

"I am super excited," she said.  "I didn't see myself being here two years ago, but I am very excited to graduate with my Computer and Electrical Engineering Degree from Albany Technical College."

This is the first year Albany Tech has conducted a formal signing for the students.

Other Move on When Ready students were accepted to the University of Georgia, the Art Institute of Atlanta's Culinary Arts program, Georgia Southern University, and Fort Valley State University.
