GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) -

A man is behind bars in Glynn County after police say he attempted to kidnap an 11-year-old girl inside Sonny's BBQ, just before 4:30 p.m. on April 15.

Glynn County Police officers responded to the 911 call at the restaurant on New Jesup Highway. When officers got there, they spoke with the victim who reported the following. She went into the ladies room and a white male entered the bathroom, grabbed her around the mouth and throat, and attempted to subdue her. She screamed and fought him off and ran out of the bathroom.

Forty-year-old John Schuler of Waycross was arrested inside Sonny's. He's been charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

The case is being investigated by Inv. Clay Palmer.
