Albany man killed in metro Atlanta shooting Saturday

COLLEGE PARK, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man died after a shooting at a Clayton County apartment complex Saturday afternoon.

Clayton County Police said Fanoris Jermaine Jackson, Jr. 20 of Albany, was found with multiple gunshot wounds just after 1:30 p.m.

Officers were patroling the area in College Park when they heard what they believe were gunshots.

Officers found Jackson lying on the pavement.

According to the officers, when they got out of their cars to help Jackson, witnesses told them the suspect was running from the scene.

Officers chased him on foot but did not catch the suspect.

He is described as a black man wearing all black, approximately 5'9" to 5'11" and 150-160 pounds.

Jackson was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The case is being investigated as a homicide.
