ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Voice live playoff rounds kickoff next week.
Albany's own J. Chosen will be advancing as one of the top 20 artists.
Two teams will perform each night.
Each artist performs a song they feel proves why they deserve to be in the Top 12 for the Live Shows.
Chosen, a teacher for special needs children, garnered the attention of all four judges during his audition on the show.
He said his coach, Gwen Stefani, has helped him cope with his sick mom.
"She helped me by just believing in myself and just talking to me and just letting me know that you know that everything is going to be okay even though you're going through these times. It's going to be okay and just musically wise she's so diverse," said Chosen.
During The Voice's final knockouts, Chosen dedicated a song to his mom, who suffered a stroke.
He will perform on The Voice on Tuesday at 8 p.m. and you can watch on WALB NBC.
