IRWIN CO., GA (WALB) -

An Irwin County grand jury could hear evidence on Wednesday against the suspect charged in the Tara Grinstead murder.

Ryan Duke was arrested in February for Grinstead's murder, 11 years after the Irwin County High School teacher went missing.

Prosecutors could present the case against Duke to the grand jurors when they meet on Wednesday.

When Duke had his first appearance before Judge Heather Culpepper, she told him the next grand jury session would begin April 12.

She ordered Duke be held without bond and told him the case would be transferred to Irwin County Superior Court.

The grand jury is made up from members of the community.

The grand jury will hear from prosecutors about the evidence in the case, and then they will determine if there is enough evidence to indict Duke on criminal charges.
