On Tuesday, WALB News 10 had the pleasure of welcoming a very special visitor to the station.
Mrs. Beatrice Gibson recently turned 100 years old, and has always dreamed of being on the news, so PruittHealth in Ocilla granted her wish.
During our noon show she was interviewed by Cade Fowler.
“We are doing a segment that we have never done here on the noon show, and I'm joined here by a very special guest, Beatrice Gibson who came all the way from Pruitt Health in Ocilla to visit WALB,” said Fowler..
Gibson got to meet Cade and Chris Zelman from our morning team.
She said that she watches our morning and evening programs every day.
And while she was at the station, she shared her secret to living a long life.
“Well I'm just a person that God has given me strength. I put it to you like that,” explained Beatrice Gibson, visiting from Ocilla.
Gibson was accompanied by family and said this is a memory she will always keep close to her heart.
