Three arrested in connection with Brooks murder

QUITMAN, GA (WALB) -

The GBI Thomasville Field Office is investigating a murder that happened Friday on Dewberry Short Road in Brooks County, Georgia.      

Brooks County deputies found Martin Solis dead inside his residence, and his two roommates were missing.  The GBI learned about a fight between the men the previous night in Quitman

With assistance from the Quitman Police Department, agents got photographs and issued an alert in Brooks and Lowndes Counties where agents believed the two roommates may be hiding. 

Valdosta Police and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office joined the GBI and Brooks County Sheriff’s Office as they searched Jaime Lopez Martinez and Luis Felipe Mollinedo Lopez.

Saturday evening, Agents found the two roommates in the parking lot of the Pilot Truck Stop on Madison Highway.   Andres Mollinedo Lopez who drove from Virginia to pick the other two men up, was also arrested.

Here are the three men who were charged:

Jaime Lopez Martinez, 20, is charged with:  Murder, Aggravated Assault and Armed Robbery in Brooks County

Luis Felipe Mollinedo Lopez, 24, is charged with:  Murder, Aggravated Assault and Armed Robbery in Brooks County

Andres Mollinedo Lopez, 17, of Petersburg, VA is charged with: Giving False Information and Hindering the Apprehension of a Fugitive, in Lowndes County
