AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -
Georgia Southwestern softball has its back up against the wall fighting to make the Peach Belt Conference tournament.
Coming into Monday afternoon, the Lady Hurricanes (7-13) were four games back in the win column of the 8th and final seed.
A two-game sweep over UNC Pembroke inched them closer to more time on the diamond after the regular season.
The Lady Hurricanes have four games left on the year, all of which are road affairs against top teams in the conference.
They travel to North Georgia for a doubleheader Friday.
