STEWART COUNTY, GA - Despite hours of severe weather, Wednesday night there are no reports of any injuries in South Georgia. But there was some storm damage, especially in Stewart and Webster Counties.
Some of the worst damage was done along Freeman Road in Southern Stewart County.
Four house were damaged in one area, including a mobile home that was completely destroyed. The roof was torn off one of those homes, and trees fell on two homes. An SUV also was damaged by a tree falling on it.
Shekina Freeman said most of those houses are owned by her relatives, and does not know if any can be saved.
"I know my house is going to be a total loss, because it flooded out, " said Freeman. "I don't know what's going on. Like I said we just gotta trust in God. And everything is going to be alright."
Freeman said they were told that government officials would inspect their homes to decide what form of severe weather hit their homes, and what help they may receive rebuilding. But for now, Freeman said they are just glad none of their family was hurt.
