ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Folks were out shopping Wednesday morning in Albany, picking up last minute items before the storm rolled in.
One couple who lives in Lee County was at the Home Depot.
They said they were picking up tools to fix a few things in their house.
They said they are thankful they weren't hit by the January storms, but are prepared for any weather that comes.
They have a generator ready to go and a plan to keep them and their pets safe.
"The main thing is we have cats and getting all of them into one place in the small room of the house," said Brenda Pawley. "We have an interior room that we can go to put the main thing is getting all the cats in there because we have quite a few cats."
The couple said they lost power for several hours Monday night.
