ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Home improvement stores sold out of generators very quickly Wednesday morning in Albany.

By 11 a.m., both Lowe's and Home Depot were sold out.

Folks at the Home Depot said they had been slammed the past few days.

They said they only had three generators left Wednesday morning.

They also sold out of lanterns, but did have have shelves full of flashlights.

"Today's been pretty busy because of the storm," said Caleb Daniel, an associate at the store. "We've been selling a lot of generators and stuff like that in preparation for the storm."

Folks at the Home Depot want to remind folks that if you have a generator, you must keep it outside.

If you bring it in, it could start a fire, and produce deadly fumes.
